Frequently Asked Questions

These are two groups that seem, to me, to be under served. Most IT support companies are built to support typical 9-5, multiple user businesses. Sussex Tech Support is for the rest.

Two reasons.  First, I have a full-time job. Second, because many home based business owners are out of the office during the day, and many remote workers are busy doing their jobs during the 9-5 hours.  But mostly because of my day job.

In such a case, I will make my best effort to accommodate you. Please note that emergency service rates are higher. On-site support is billed at $175 per hour and remote support is billed at $150 per hour.

Due to the nature of the work that I perform, there is no warranty on hourly work. Each hour (or partial hour) that I work is billable regardless of the outcome.

While I will give you an estimate of how long a service call will take, it is up to you to let me know if there is a cap on the time spent on the call.

I take such requests on a case by case basis. It can’t hurt to ask.

Sorry, no. My experience with Macs is limited and I’d rather not charge you for something I am not proficient in.

It depends. Problems with phones often require support from your wireless carrier, but I can help with other things. Most of the calls I get about phones are related to connecting to Wi-Fi, or setting up 2FA / MFA, email, and the like, which I can certainly help with. We’ll discuss your phone issue before scheduling an appointment, just to be sure.

Not at this time.

This is my side job and I’m trying to minimize unwanted calls. After you fill out the contact form I will respond and provide you with my number.
